THAI MASSAGE PRACTIONER - Tami Roberts
Tami also studied at the Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas to complete a 240-hour Thai Yoga Massage certification with Kam Thye Chow, through Lotus Palm School of Massage. Incorporating the principles of Thai Yoga Massage into her teachings feels completely natural and has greatly enhanced what she’s able to offer her students and private clients.
Thai Yoga Massage is a unique and powerful healing art that has been an integral part of traditional Thai medicine for thousands of years. It is a truly wonderful experience for both giver and receiver as energy blockages are released, boundaries dissolve and deep healing occurs in a space of presence and meditation. Often referred to as "Lazy Man's Yoga," Thai Yoga Massage blends elements of acupressure, Yoga, reflexology, physiotherapy, meditation, energy healing, chiropractic and Ayurveda.
YOGA INSTRUCTOR- Danielle Vaughn
When she's not practicing yoga or performing as an accomplished singer and songwriter, Danielle loves to ski and cook for her family. In fact, it was her love of connecting with people that initially drew her to teaching. "I love the energy exchange, the giving and receiving elements of teaching yoga," she says. "I had no idea what a calm, clear mind, a strong, limber body, and a peaceful spirit felt like before I started practicing."
Music and yoga are a natural combination for Danielle, who started practicing eleven years ago while recovering from a heart-breaking loss of her first child. "I would do poses in class and find myself weeping, and being totally okay with that. I just felt safe to be who I was and to feel how I felt in yoga," Danielle recalls. Now she holds a 200 hour RYT Yoga Teacher Certification, has more than 900 hours of teaching experience, and has a regular vinyasa flow practice.
In addition to a new-found peace of mind, yoga opened the door to her artistic side. "At the time I started yoga, I was studying intensive classical piano and doing really well at it. But I felt like something was missing. I think my personal voice was yearning to be heard. So I started writing poetry and turning my poems into songs," she says. "I believe both spontaneity and an ability to focus on the present moment are important artistic tools for living one's life more fully. Life doesn't come with a script. Once I truly embraced that idea, which yoga has given me the tools to do, I became a much happier person. There's power in that. I love tapping into that power and helping others tap into their own."
